'GIVE A HAND' SANITISER DONATION PROJECT UPDATE

After a busy few weeks getting our 'GIVE A HAND' donation project up and running, we wanted to share how it has been going so far. We're delighted with the response to the project which really struck a chord with many of you. Thanks to everyone for the messages and e-mails saying how much you enjoyed supporting this initiative. It couldn't have happened with you all!

HOW THE DONATION PROJECT WORKS:

To recap on how the project works, for every bottle of hand sanitiser we sell, we will donate an additional 50% to healthcare providers. So to make it simple, if you buy a 50ml bottle we will donate 25ml, if you buy 500ml we will donate 250ml. So you can keep you and your family safe as well as giving back!

THE DONATIONS SO FAR:

We have distributed sanitiser donations to the following organisations which are both local to our headquarters in Tipperary and several larger hospitals with a specific need in the current COVID-19 pandemic.

  • Connolly Hospital Intensive Care & High Dependency Units, Dublin
  • St Vincent's Hospital Cystic Fibrosis Unit, Dublin
  • Portumna Retirement Village, Portumna
  • Bushy Park Nursing Home, Borrisokane
  • Nenagh Manor Nursing Home, Nenagh
  • Ealga Lodge Nursing Home, Shinrone, Birr

It was heart-warming to make the deliveries and meet (from a distance!) our tireless frontline workers like Vincent from the Bushy park Nursing Home below.

We also got some lovely messages from the organisations that received the donations which we wanted to share below.

"Thank you for the donation of the wonderful hand sanitiser. Having a good quality sanitiser has made this difficult situation a bit easier. It's gentle on the skin and smells divine." - Nurse

"I'm a nurse working within the community, and our team have had this amazing hand sanitiser donated. Just wanted to share how lovely and soothing it has been to my hands. Despite having to use regularly throughout the day it has not caused my eczema to flare up. It is gentle, soothing and smells beautiful"  - Nurse

"International nurses day today so everyone very thankful for lovely surprise of sanitiser this morning" - Nurse

We are currently running donation deliveries every 2 weeks based on sales in the previous 2 weeks and will be keeping this blog post updated as we continue with the project.

Thank you all again for your amazing support and for standing together as a community in these times.
